On Ortega Highway yesterday I stopped for a 5 minute break near
Quest Diagnosics. I swear a KLR650 TWIN went by me? Even stranger for
me, it actually had to STOP in front of me at the red light so I was
able to SEE and HEAR the V twin. Anyone else seen or heard of any
test bike or "anything"? The other weird thing about it, was it was a
BEAUTIFUL candy RED. It was liking looking at "my" bike, cept it was
BEAUTIFUL instead of somewhat ugly. (No offense to my bike!)
Wonder if I missed out on some news or something? I know I have
been sick lately BUT....I knows what I see & hear. Well, "kinda".
Another thing I know for sure now. If they built the bike I saw and
heard yesterday, I would choose it over the V Strom I was planning. I
waited a full day before asking this group since I was checking ALL
search engines I could so I wouldn't yet again make a fool of
myself.... Mike

klr 650 twin?
Gino has the scoop on it...part of the Spring industry announcements. We used to get advance reports from Hiro Watanbe but and his troublesome friend, Redondo Ron, have vanished...

A Yamaha TDM perhaps? Or maybe a Zukasaki Bombadier 950. same motor as in the ski boat. Slide> waited a full day before asking this group since I was checking ALL > search engines I could so I wouldn't yet again make a fool of > myself.... Mike

klr 650 twin?
No. It said in silver-KLR 650, also had a V logo. I posted back to Kurt, don't see it (as USUAL!) I was drinking some water out of my tail pack. I tried to scramble into the pack to get my digital camera. The guy was stopped right in front of me about 10 feet away. He saw me and flat nailed it down the road (through a RED light) I just threw my helmet and water into a saddle bag and took off after him. Between being old, him having a head start and much faster bike, I am very sick, well, I have a bunch of excuses but he left me for DEAD. In case my lil KLR 650's feeling got hurt, I posted some pix of her in the phot's section under "oldtimer2's KLR". She's a bit "sensitive" about the whole thing. Especially since I have a check already from the bank for my new V Strom. I got BAD sick about 2 months ago the day after I got the check. Have been in and out of the hospital. As a result, have NOT taken the check to the dealer and NOW, do not plan to! If I can find this bike in production, I will buy it! ANY price, period. I can't believe how good it looked in red. I wonder if it is a joint venture bike between Kawasaki & Suzuki? The motor looked different than the SV 650 though so I just don't know???? The weirdest part (to me) was it even had all the KLR badging etc. If anyone gets/has ANY info on this bike PLEASE e mail me at oldtimer2@.... I am probably going back into the hospital in a day or so and don't know what will happen. May have Cancer? Thanks, Mike P.S,, the check was from People's First Bank. You get approved right on the internet in 10 minutes! Had the check 2 days later at only 7.49%. Sure beats the dealer financing!
