Yes, the Acerbis is all plastic except the mounts, which are aluminum, and the screws holding on the top wind spoiler are made of metal. Tell you what though, I'd gladly put my Acerbis Dual Sport Rally Guards against Moose, or Bark Buster, any day. The Acerbis plastic is very strong in the handguards. My guards have the scratches to prove it. If you like the aluminum, by all means get them, then add weather protection flares to the aluminum. Or get tough Acerbis plastic and the wind protectors at the same time. Six of one, half a dozen of the other. It's strictly a preference issue.
