Just ordered the low vibration mirrors kit from Dual-Star and i was wondering if anyone of you listers had ever try those ? Probably should've ask before buying but i thought that they just couldn't be worst than OEM. Thanks. G antvert01 A15

need rt side plastic air box cover for 87 klr-650

Post by longan1313kids » Sat Feb 23, 2002 3:02 pm

Last year I took my bike to Baja for 2 weeks. It was fully loaded including the Kawasaki saddlebags. I cinched the bags down very tightly to avoid having anything shake loose. Well, 2900 miles later, nothing shook loose, but I discovered that the rear portion of the plastic air box cover was apparently too close to the exhaust and the rear portion of the cover had melted and was permanently fused to my saddlebags. I had to surgically seperate the two with a utility knife. I hope to get some better saddlebags with mounting racks for my next adventure to the Northwest Territories this Summer, but in the meantime, I have been searching high and low for a replacement cover for the right side air box cover. If anyone could help me locate a White Plastic Right Side cover for my 1987 KLR-650, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.............Don
