camshaft wear??
I have a 91 KLR250 with 6100 miles that I bought used that has
the same problem with the scratches in the cams. My mechanic
said that this was common around that mileage. He said it will
be fine for right now, but in the near future it will need cams. I
don't think Kawi will void the warranty just because you
performed the adjustment. In my owners manual it just says that
Kawi won't be responsible for damage from incorrect
maintenance or improper adjustment from the owner. Sounds to
me if you do it right, your covered.
