I'll be replacing the friction discs and springs in my clutch in a couple weeks. Already have the discs, springs and gaskets. I've done this several times on other bikes, but are there any KLR specific tips I should know about ? TIA Bob

What year is your KLR? The later models have 8 fiction plates and the earlier models have 7. Some clutch kits only have 7 friction plates and if you have a late model KLR (after 95) you will need an extra friction plate. Fred www.arrowheadmotorsports.com

It's easy to tear the oil seal (voice of experience). Also this is a good time to pull out the oil screen and inspect for nasty debris. Kurt Grife
