What does everyone use for a Accessory plug. If its the BMW Plug.
Does it take a special Male end.

BMW is the best going I think. I fill the center of the male plug with
sicilone for water proofing and abuse.

accessory plug
Speaking of BMW accessory plugs, I learned today (my apologies if
this is well known) that the BMW accessory plugs and sockets are
identical to the Bosch ones used on some John Deere equipment, which
means that one can buy them at most John Deere dealers (as I did
today), possibly more cheaply than if they were BMW brand.
Cheers,

That's true but the John Deere plugs (female) is deeper than the BMW, meaning
that you need more depth on the place on the bike you mount the plug. Also
the price quoted by my local John Deere dealer is within a few dollars of the
BMW price.

How much does the BMW dealer ask for them? For me the chief
incentive to using the Bosch plugs and sockets (they have at least
two models of sockets, btw, so they might come in different depths)
is that there's no BMW cycle dealer within 50 miles of me.
