POLICE STATE REPORT POLICE STATE REPORT POLICE STATE REPORT As a citizen of the Police State Of Canada, I am filing my mandatory Police State report today. US Gun Deaths for year 2002 through 01/04/02=== 131 people killed by guns this year to date. that's 4 days, folks. Canadian Gun Deaths for year 2002 through 01/04/02==== 0 Yes that's right 0 US Gun Deaths for year 2001==== 12000 for the year. source CDC statistics Canadian Gun Deaths for year 2001==== 168 for the year. source Statistics Canada Read these statistics carefully. We are not allowed to carry guns in Canada. We can own them, but under very strict controls. We have 10% of the population of the United States, but we only have 1.5 percent of the gun deaths that the US has. Who is safer? The bad guys in Canada walk up to your car with a squeegee, the bad guys in the US walk up to your car with a Walther, or maybe a hair trigger Glock. I own lots of firearms, I hunt, and I own handguns. The handguns are kept at my gun club. They can be used at both the indoor and outdoor range. If I want to go to a competition, I have to obtain a transportation permit. The gun has got to be transported in a non firing mode. I prefer broken down, and in my trunk with trigger guard. I have rifles and shotguns, and they are legally able to be kept in my home, and taken out to hunt with. They have to be kept in my gun safe, with the ammunition locked away in a different place than where my gun safe is. Sure I have had to get permits for each gun, and I have had to obtain a firearms acquisition certificate. And yes the Police State of Canada knows about each and every gun. Do I like that idea? Nope. Would I rather have it your way? Just read the stats, and you can answer that question yourself. One more thing. If you commit a crime in Canada and use a gun while committing that crime, you go to jail for the gun offence. Not a reduced penalty or any plea bargain, nothing. You do two full years in prison just for the gun. That now includes replicas or toy guns. Threaten someone with a gun or a lookalike gun and you are going to do two years. That will bring the Canadian stats down even more. I like guns for what they are. I don't ever think of shooting someone. If you had tough laws, you wouldn't have gangsters or gangster rappers that would even think of carrying a gun. It's a helluva lot harder to beat a man to death than it is to shoot him. Up here in Canada we prefer a good beating to a gunfight any day. "If you carry it, you're one day going to want to use it." Quoted from the L.A. police chief. Tom, thanks for the report. Hey, is the Globe Hotel still there, down by the water ("salt-chuck"?). Last time I was in Nanaimo was 93, but the Globe had some awesome young strippers who gave me a great show right in front of my plate of guacamole burger and fries. It was great! Bill Santa Rosa CA

And that would be 47815 for the year, right??? But wait! You said 12000 for last year. Hmmmmmm..... And that would be........all murderers? Or maybe most would be hunting accidents? And in 2001 that 12000 deaths would equal about one third of the total killed in traffic accidents, right?? So maybe we should not carry our cars?? Or drink and drive? Wonder which country has the worst percentage for that one? Any idea?
>Canadian Gun Deaths for year 2002 through 01/04/02==== 0 Yes that's right 0
That's too bad.....uh.....I mean Gee......that's great!!! Heh.....heh......he.....uh.. Oh, I am very familiar with your gun laws. I lived there for three years. If you want to own a handgun and are not a member of a club, you leave it with the RCMP. At least you did. And you could sign it out if, and only if you had a signed letter saying you had some place to shoot. A range or large piece of land. Since most of New Bruinswick is owned by "da Queen", there was little place to go. My experience was that the people I hunted with........once.....were the worst gun handlers ever as a group. It was not uncommon to turn around and have the business end of a shot gun pointing in your face. I dunno, maybe they just didn't like me. And I'm pretty sure you checked the FBI violent crimes stats, right? Nope, I didn't think so. The last big surge for states to pass "Right to Carry" laws started in 1994. By 1996 crime had started a down hill slide and is still decreasing annually. As a big surprise to our Canadian friend, the states that continue to have higher percentages of violent crime, are for the most part, those that do not have "Right to Carry Laws." That is Right to Carry as opposed to might be able to carry if......kind of laws. The later Would be California. So Mr. Canadian, and anyone else who would take my gun from me, I have to ask you why? Have I hurt you in any way? Most studies show the opposite is true. Do you perceive me as a threat? Why? What have I done, or any of the other "licensed to carry" people done to generate such animosity? I can tell you one thing, I am really pissed at all things Canadian now (as if my ex being Canadian wasn't enough) and I am for sure going to collect my Canadian Social Insurance. I was going to donate it. Not any more. Both dollars (Canadian) are going to be mine!! Yessir! taf

Please show me the pages that describes balancer failures, differnces between different spring, shock setups, places to ride, Carb tweaks, tweety, real world part failure rates, third party accessories, used prices, typical mileage, alternative service methods, etc. Please we all know the service manual is at best week. When someone points out a place for all this info I'm gone. Looks like i'll be aroubnd for a while =) Call me what you like but I would like a place where it is 90% klr or at least motorcycles. humor is fine and I don't mind colrful words. Maybe I just have a life and ride unlike the 10% that don't have a life and post bs on a bike list. To them I say get a life. Again, 10% making 90% of the noise. happens a lot in this world. Off my box, Andy
