Dear KLR Friends,
Looks like everybody uses whatever they can find on sale.
I just drained the oil out of my "new" 1998 KLR, and would like to
replace it with the right stuff.
Please advise,
Thanx, hal

Hey Hal, Check out the POLLS section of the list to get an idea of the motor oil types and change frequencies some of the guys on the list use for their own KLR's. 31 something w/ the KLR650 and a CBR600 who.. uhmm.. still goes fast but doesn't care about who else does.. At least until the Miata's go to Sebring for lap times.> I agree. Not to mention the sheer amount of knowledge and learning that is done from this list as well as the adventure stories, tales of triumph (and sadly tragedy), etc. This list has saved me quite a bit of money and time and will continue to do so in the future. I'm happy to be a part of it! -Welcome aboard!>Another reason I really enjoy > this list more than any other I've sunscribed to is > because we can just shoot from the hip and get totally > off topic without some power hungry nerd threatening > to boot us off the list.
