nklr looking for places to ride offroad in north carolina

Post by Guest » Tue Jan 01, 2002 9:22 pm

Hello, I am planning an offroad riding trip in early February (10 -14.) I'm looking for some places to ride offroad in North Carolina or anywhere within a days drive from Boston, MA. I have looked into the state parks in the state that have ORV trails, but only one is open through the winter months. Any information or advice on this is both welcomed and appreciated. Thanks, Rich 98' KLR650 E. Boston, MA

kidnapping in columbia?

I've been reading the "Striking Viking's" journals on his travels through Central and South America. He's a self-proclaimed former Hell's Angel and apparently a black belt in Judo. According to one web site I viewed he's third in his class in what I assume is a county wide competition. His motorcycle adventure journals contain more drama than....well...any other journal I've read so far. I've read 100s from motorcyclists all over the world. Punky and Lew's mishaps in Columbia are child's play in comparison to the pitfalls encountered by Mr. Heggstad. Mariola Chichon must be protected by Angels. I look forward to the "B" movie sure to follow the conclusion of Mr. Heggstad's odessey. His adventures are reminiscent of that rather hard to stomach television series a few years back... Err.. Nighthawk? The one about the motorcycle riding bounty hunter wanted by the law. (Wanted unjustly of course.) I may not be a smart man but...... Never mind. His web site: [http://www.strikingviking.net/index2.php%5d. Meetings with other motorcycle adventurers were conspicuously absent from his journals. Didn't even mention the woman traveleing ahead of him or Punky and Lew. Words like self absorbed and egotisical come to mind but I know the utterance of those words would be judgemental. Okay...well...*kick dirt*... I'm being judgemental. . A Reuters article following his alleged release from his ELN captors: [http://dailynews.yahoo.com/htx/nm/20011213/ts/colombia_kidnapping_dc_ 1.html]. . For grins the ELN web site: [http://www.web.net/eln/ELN/eln.html%5d. Judge for yourselves.
