I'll third that, and thanks to Darrell for the wrtie up of LA-B-V. As I was reading the article, I was babbling on to my missus about how much fun that ride was last year, how much I'm looking forward to it this year, and what a great bunch the KLR owners are. Then I punched her in the mouth. DSN always makes me want to go riding. Keep 'em coming, Lampson. CA Stu PS I had a great time at the reception last year, at the Malcolm Smith Dual Sport ride Sunday 2 people came up to me and said "How was your ride home from Vegas?" and " IT IS NOT A CULT, WE'RE JUST A GROUP OF FRIENDS WHO ENJOY THE SAME MOTORCYCLE. Ah hahahahaha!!"> won't need any more bikes ever, probably. All best > > Scott > A14 "thunderdog" > Sorrento, Fl

Tobin,
I received my October Edition of the DSN yesterday. You did a great
job. Hey, is the article by Greg Fraizer (Crossing the Crazy Woman)
the same guy who wrote a DualSport article for another mag recently?
You know, the 70 mpg KLR guy? I enjoyed his ?Crazy Woman? article a lot.
I missed not having a tech article or some comments from Elden, I like
what he has to say.
Thanks again to you and your crew.

Hi everyone: We are all safely in Bogota,
We have seen some intersting sights, including The Presidential Palace, and
are waiting to pick up the bikes from Girag Air Cargo in the morning. Today
we visited the Museo De Oro (Museum of Gold), which is a heavily guarded
place loaded with ancient Colombian gold artifacts, many in a huge vault.
Punky was the first dog ever allowed in the museum. I went to the top dog to
get him in. We're sharing rooms and Mariola is having a hard time sleeping
because of my snoring. Punky has never complained. Tomorrow we will ride
south into the danger zone to meet with a biker doctor cyber-friend of
Mariola's at Armenia. He wants to escort us around to some interesting
sights in his area. He lives in Medellin, the drug capitol. After that, we
will head for Quito, Ecuador. All is well, for now. Mariola doesn't like
discussing the danger. I can't forget it. Mariola is very impatient. I am
laid back. She isn't used to delays because of Punky. I love her when she
is upbeat, happy and enjoying herself. Sometimes, though, her impatience is
difficult. She is used to getting her own way and admits to being pushy. She
says she got through borders, that took me 4.5-5 hours, in 45 minutes. We
will help each other to get through Colombia. Then, probably go our separate
ways. I can put up with all kinds of delays and shit. She can't. I'm hoping
for the best. Later.
Punky & Lew

Hi Brad......thanks alot man....... Now that I've gotten my feet wet with this gig I marvel at Kurt and Gino for the huge amount of work they did. Yes....Greg has written in several major mags.,Motor Cycle, Rider, and others...he's joined our roving contributing editor/writer staff and is expected back from Thailand after New Years.... I miss Elden too...perhaps he'll drop in....in the mean time a couple of other tech writers, like Larry Langley for one(from Progressive), have appeared and we hope to share some of their experience..... Oh, by the way, we have a subscription sweepstakes coming up, like tomorrow I think. Keep your eye peeled, Scotto's about to post it any day. We're gonna give away a Free pass to Jimmy Lewis Offroad School... Well...its back to layout for the December issue.... Our crew appreciates all the encouraging emails you guys, thank you all.... .....enjoy the list......
