Hi my name is Steve and I'm from Fremantle in Western Australia.I have recently brought a C3 KLR 650 and have noticed there are a lot of differences between the US and Aussie models.Specifically I have been going thru the archives to try and find carrier frames. This seems to be covered well for the US KLR but short on info for mine. Can anyone help? Cheers Steve. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

G'day, sorry for the confusion over the carriers for the KLR 650 C3. The info I was after was on how to mount soft bags and thought some one on the list might know the best way to go about it.The C3 has a light rear rack rated to 3 kg ( 6.5lb ) with no mounting points for a pannier frame and the pillion foot peg mounts are welded to the frame not bolted. Apart from the two screws for the side covers there doesn't appear to be any where else to mount them up.I was just wondering how others had gone about it. Cheers Steve [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

I just checked the Kawasaki web site (www.kawasaki.com) and they have the 2002 model information on a few bikes, if anyone's interested. It looks like it's the early-release 2002 models (such as the KLR650, and Connie). They have a neat little Flash popup for the models. Jett
