Hello list, My A3 died on the highway a few nights ago. I was cruising on the highway for about 75 miles, when the bike made a loud squeal. I pulled over, but the noise went away below 55 mph or so. The bike idle and revved fine, so after a couple minutes I proceed on my way. In less than a mile, the engine died. I coasted onto the shoulder, but the bike has no compression. There are no leaks of any fluid anywhere. I wondered about a loose spark plug, or bad exhaust valves ect. I have not had time to even look at the bike. I had it "towed" home the last 4 miles, and it has sat in the garage all week. I was wondering a good starting point, or if I am even close to the "right track". I only follow the list part time on digest mode, so if you have any revelations, contact me off list, Thanks Ryan.
