nklr ortlieb saddlebags

Post by holz152@hotmail.com » Wed Jun 20, 2001 7:18 pm

I just got my Ortliebs and I'm trying to assemble them for my virgin trip this weekend-- What in the heck is part WM36 for?? There is only one, its a bent up piece of metal that looks like a U. If you've got these bags, you probably know which part I'm talking about. Please help . . . Thanks a bunch for all the suggestions and posts I've been reading for the past month. This list is really great!! Andrea

I believe it is simply a wire hook so that you can clip your keys to it if you had to. I have two sets of Ortleibs and I never used the dang thing. Gino

and it's been sitting outside on the lot everyday. Although my friend says it looks like it is great condition, I still wonder why it is selling for so cheap, and why it has not sold in almost a year. What are your thoughts? TIA, Eric A 8 Honolulu, Hi. _________ write to Captain Ron or Tom Varvaeke about their GS experiences? Eric, your question isn't clear, so I think we're shooting in the dark...the price seems ok. Motorcycle Consumer News just ran one of their surveys...an owner report on the BMW R series. The model with the least satisfaction (read most issues) was the R1100GS...the one with nearly the greatest was the R1150 GS (most was the S model)... All depends on what kind of riding he wants to do...two very different bikes. Sounds to me like he has just gotten his KLR fixed the way he likes it and you should advise him to keep it. With your conscience fully at peace you can then open a beer, put the popcorn in the microwave and settle back and wait for the phone call to come pick him up stranded with the GS somewhere... Kurt Did I write that? Gino, what have you done to me...
