sams club lift in canada

Just wondering if anyone know anywhere in Canada I could purchase one of those Sam's Club bike lifts ? Would anyone be interested in sending one up here ? (willing to pay for the time / hassle)All the stands I've found here are either too expensive or just plain sh*t. 4 bikes and no stand in Canada, Gord Hunt _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com

Gord, I'm not positive but I think you can "join" Sam's Club over the Internet. www.samsclub.com. The lift is located in the Automotive area. You can then, as a member, order it and I think they will ship it to you, although shipping might be as much as the lift as I've heard others say the hardest part of buying it is getting it home because of the weight. Also went to www.costco.com and couldn't find any automotive stuff at all. Maybe they dropped the line...? Greg in Dallas

I live in Dallas and here is the break down on shipping for me: $99.97 for Lift $32.51 Shipping (7 - 10 days) $10.93 Tax $143.41 TOTAL Hope that helps ~Kris KLR250 Dallas -----Original Message----- From: Greg Paul [mailto:gregpaul@...] Sent: Thursday, April 26, 2001 11:06 AM To: DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com Subject: [DSN_klr650] Re: Sams Club Lift in Canada Gord, I'm not positive but I think you can "join" Sam's Club over the Internet. www.samsclub.com. Just a quick idea here...why don't take a standard hydraulic car lift and weld a square piece of metal on the top...that would be as efficient as the lift on that site and would be a lot cheaper! For stability, just remove the wheels on the lift!

The width of an automotive floor jack is pretty narrow. Some sort of "outrigger" would need to be fabricated for stability. Don Detloff Fair Haven, MI A14

Kris, I wonder if they could determine that you were in Dallas and calculated the freight from a Dallas area store or warehouse? Greg in Dallas too!

Greg, I wondered that as well. I know they know that I live in the Dallas area as I have an existing account with Sams. But it never distinguished where the product was coming from i.e. Warehouse or local store. *shrug* ~Kris Dallas KLR250 -----Original Message----- From: Greg Paul [mailto:gregpaul@...] Sent: Thursday, April 26, 2001 12:42 PM To: DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com Subject: [DSN_klr650] Re: Sams Club Lift in Canada Kris, I wonder if they could determine that you were in Dallas and calculated the freight from a Dallas area store or warehouse?
