Greetings all,
Recently my master link on my chain has been hitting the cover of the counter-sprocket when it passes through the area. When I had a look, it seems the pins of that particular link are sticking out further than the others and hitting the cover. It probably won't cause any real damage but it sure isn't a pleasant sound. Any suggestions on remedying this nuisance? It's an RK 520 chain, not a cheap one either so getting another chain is not my first choice. TIA,
Eric

master link knocking
I'm replying to my own post here---can I turn the master link around and
face it inside toward to tire? It seems there is more room on the inside of
the chain route through the counter shaft sprocket area. Your thoughts on
this matter will be greatly appreciated.

master link knocking
Sure you can face it inside.
Make sure the clip is put on in such a direction that when it hits
things as it is going around in circles it does not get knocked off.
It other words, the closed end of the clip gets hit and not the open
end.

I just wanted to invite you to checkout my new website. My friend
Chris and I just bought to 2001 KLR650's. The pictures were taken in
the Sierra Nevada mountains in middle California. Click on Pictures
and open the shoebox. Paste the link below in an Internet Browser.
