IMS is the choice de la primo. Go for the titanium ones (only $300). Or visit a scrapyard and scavenge some from a KLR250. I think the pegs from a DR650 also fit but can't remember...might've been another bike. they got 'em at http://www.bajadesigns.com/p17.html and Fred sells 'em too. They don't list the IMS on the bajadesigns page for the KLR but I know they exist so maybe they stock them. Bajadesigns also has their own brand Burly pegs that they list for KLX650s. To all who've had problems with their IMS pro springs, they are now stocking and shipping a new set. I've broken two of the original thicker right springs when mounting them. The story is, they had to cobble together a set of springs for the first military issue, and had to use what they could find - this is why they were different sizes. They now have a spring manufacturer making the proper springs for them, so you can call them and they'll send you a set, if you have any probs with the old style. I don't know how different the new ones are, waiting to get mine. Rich

Holy Crap, Brian how did you break it? That's a question I posted to the site here a week or so ago! After looking at the bolts holding the pegs on I was afraid that a hard landing might bust or shear a peg. That could put you in the hospital for hours!!!!!!!! What does the list recommend I use to cover my KLR. It winters in a friend's garage, but I need to get it outta there before he is no longer a friend. I don't live in the best neighborhood either (last week some a$$hole thought he'd turn on my car lights at 1AM and see how long the battery would last). Is there anything else I can do to protect my beloved? It's a stock KLR with a 45l Givi trunk, I plan on adding Tim's panniers when I get a job.... Thanks Jim
