I'm getting ready to order new chain and sprockets but I forgot the number of
teeth on the rear.

(dsn_klr650)klr uk article-fame at last
So I buy a copy of the popular "Bike" magazine to see what sort of return to
expect from the insurance company for by KLR, and see that they have a review on
the KLR this month.
The good news:
Under "Best Website" www.geocities.com/~klrdsn/
Wheyhey...your 15min of fame Kurt.
The bad news:
the rest of the article-
What is it?
Kawasaki's offering in the big thumper market, developed from the old KLR600 of
the mid-1980's. Slightly faster than the Yamaha XT600 or Honda Dominator but
also harsher, more snatchy, doesn't handle as well and early models were
considerably less reliable. nice and comfy though. In 1995 the engine was
heavily modified and detuned by 7bhp at the top end(but more bottom end torque)
and these are the best of the bunch.
What goes wrong?
Balancer shaft chains wear out prematurely, cam and camchain wear, cranks don't
appear to last long on earlier models.
You need?
An up-to-date recovery card. A scottoiler - the chain takes a beating.
Tweak?
Don't be silly. Why do you think kawasaki detuned it? Because it wouldn't stay
together with the power it had, thats why.
