Oh, boy, not the what to do with the tax money thread...

Now I'll have to refund Rich all his money for the underspec
soapbox, since this is a hard one to resist, and I really want
to get on it, we'll deal with he quality of workmanship later...

But since I see everybody agrees so far, no need to get on the
soapbox yet. Interesting, that one of the news items this
morning in Oregon is a bill in the state house that would fund
the building of a fancy stadium to attract a MLB team to
Portland. I have nothing against baseball, basketball or any
other sport. Really. Just that if it's a business, then they
should pay for the facilities out of the team's pockets, not ours.
And if it's really "our" team, then I want a say in how it's
managed, who they hire and, of course, my share of the
profits...

YPoliticianMV (but they all have these same "bright" ideas
