I use the dishwashing balm for both the bike and the visor - it's mild, works great and smells nice too. Now, someone on the list mentioned washing the helmet by putting it in the dishwashing machine. I got an N81 Nolan and wash it usually in mild water with shampoo. I'm a bit concerned about the temperature in the dishwasher and whether it would do damage to the helmet? Any bad experience? Ideas? All help would be appreciated... I have some commercial fog-proofer that (the salesman at our state fair admitted to me) is really just liquid soap and glycerine. It works well though. GC * Deks* wrote:

Deks, Two helmet-in-the-dishwasher options. 1) Use the "rinse & hold" cycle that doesn't dry anything. Probably won't do much in the way of thorough cleaning. 2) Use the "full wash" cycle, but remove the helmet before the drying (high heat) cycle. I've never tried either way, but #2 would *probably* be safe. Professor A9 Federal Way, WA. [USA] PhD in theoretical dishwashing... +++++++++++++++++++++ --- "* Deks*" wrote:

Hi Jim, We have the same thing at work. You can set up an auto-response for all incoming e.mails. My guess it that it could happen with every message sent to the group between now and Monday when our Mr Hardingham returns. Could be time to wake up Arne.
