tire/tube size ?

Post by Fred Hink » Tue Feb 13, 2001 12:35 pm

The 130 size MT21 will fit on the KLR with no problems. The stock tube is also good unless you need a heavy duty version. I usually replace the tube about every other time I change my tires or if you have a to patch the tube I just replace it when I change out the tire. Fred in Moab the sunshine state of mind.

After riding the almost new bike for only 200 miles, I am ready to ditch the factory supplied rim protector and am looking at the Pirelli MT21. The MT21 is apparently only available in 130/90-17, whereas the factory size is 130/80-17. My question: Are there any issues with the 130/90-17 in relation to swingarm clearance or use with the existing tube I should know about? Jerry in Deltona, FL
