Some here own DR400s and they are well suited to the same general range of riding done on the KLR, but the DRs don't get discussed here much except in terms of how they compare to the KLR. If you intend to cover long distances on pavement on your DR (as many KLR650 people do) then it may benefit for you to stay here. We have if nothing else mastered the fine art of packing a DS bike for long trips. I think there is a DR list someplace on Yahoo groups, but I'm not sure. HTH! -Tom '96 KLR 650
