how much should i expect to pay for a 1999 klr

Post by elglaude@globetrotter.net » Mon Jan 22, 2001 2:24 pm

Hi, I'm browsing thru used bike magazines for a used KLR 650. The thing is i don't know when the price is too high. I saw one...perfect condition, 1999 6000km...never saw dust for 5000$CAN (I live in canada). How about that? It seem good, but i'm afraid if being screwed at first impression! Thanks

It is always hard to give advice on this...I think that comes out to about $3,450 US...that would be an ok price here, not spectacular but in the ballpark. Keep in mind that come this July we'll be seeing the 2002's and the '99 will be four years old... Kurt

Hi Karl: I'm not opposed to starting at the push of a button. However, I would like to have the convenience of kick starting, when pushing the button doesn't work, especially with a loaded for long distance touring bike in some out of the way place. I'm sorry that Kawasaki discontinued the kick start option for post '96 models. Punky & Lew Waterman
