seeking gino's tool list (and other tool and spares suggestions)

Post by marcclarke@unforgettable.com » Fri Oct 27, 2000 12:48 pm

The old KLR-650 list's archives appear to be permanently non- functional. I can no longer browse or search the old archives for discussion on the ideal tool kit and spares kit. Accordingly, would some kind soul please re-post Gino's excellent KLR-650 tool list (tool kit) to this list? Any other contributions on the tools to carry and spares to carry would be most welcome. I learned in spades this morning why one carries a valve core tool and some extra valve cores in one's on-the-motorcycle tool kit. Fortunately, I underwent this particular learning experience while topping off the air in my rear tire while sitting in my garage this morning so I did not have a long walk home. :-( Now I am hyper- sensitive about having the right tools and spares with me. Murphy loves me. :-( -- Marc, A12

I tried to get a Hi Flow from Fred when I was ordering some other stuff from him a while ago but he didn't have the one for the KLR in stock at the time. You don't see them around here so I haven't gone out of my way to get one to compare. Thanks. Bob Kaub
