Hey, Rev...
> Cool, that maybe means I can own a Super Sherpa here in CA. I went to my dealer last night, the one that I have going to for nearly 30 years, and was told rudely and abruptly: "Why do you want one of those? You can't even own one in California..." as he shook the brochure in my face pointing at the words "Not available in California". Musda had a bad day.
Whatta jerk. I was really bummed when I saw (on the Kawi website) that
the ZRX1100 was not available in CA. However, I was at the dealer for
parts the other week, and lo and behold, there was one, brand spankin'
new. I didn't ask about it, but I'd guess there's a way. I'm hoping to
trade my GS1100E for one when I change jobs (or keep 'em both), and the
mention of a ZRX1200 for 2001 has only got me drooling more!
> Does anybody know what hoops I need to jump through if I buy one in Nevada and bring it into the state?
I presume that the CA restriction has to do with emmissions, so take a
look at
www.smogcheck.org, it might have the regulations. I heard
something about having a certain number of miles on it (to make it
officially "used"), but don't know how accurate that is. Good luck!
