rfi - looking for happy trails pannier owners

Tom: I am in the process of discussing with Tim Bernard a special order modification to the panniers' lower outside edge. I told him I want to mount the panniers low enough so I can use a Rev Pack inverted U-shape duffle bag between me and the Mondo tail box. The duffle bag hangs down 6" over the tops of the panniers on each side. I want Tim to cut an angle 30-40 degrees at the bottom of the panniers because they will be mounted lower than usual and the angle should allow leaning without scraping the ground. I will be interested in your documentation of the installation procedure. Sounds like it isn't a piece of cake with Tim's instructions or lack of such. I know my placement of the panniers may differ from yours, but there is probably some commonly useful information to be gained from your experience. Please send me a copy or post the documentation. Thanks. Lew Waterman Punky & Lew's Americas Motopaseo
