Regarding the above comment, following is some correspondence I had with Morgan and Elden:

Why is everyone complaining about this fiche.  It is excellent to view the parts without getting on-line or finding the book.  If anything you would print out the page take it to the dealer and ask him for the currant part # anyway.  Steve did us a favor and took his time putting this together.  Just deal with the little problems and be on your way.

Great job again Steve!!!

Good point. They are reference numbers not part numbers. All of the part numbers begin with those same reference numbers though. I'm taking Steven's good work and customizing it for my A10 by replacing the appropriate gifs (if needed) and adding a document file with actual Kawi part numbers from the site - buykawasaki.com Redondo Ron

First and foremost, i did not complain about the "fiche". He should be commended for investing his time. But at the same time, i felt it was necessary to point out that they are not the numbers with which you could phone your dealer for price and availability. My intention was to prevent anyone from possibly wasting time by calling the dealer unprepared, nothing more, nothing less. I spend a fair amount of time at werk looking up the whole number for ppl who went to the buykawasaki site and were not aware that they did not write down the whole part number. And these are usually the ppl who come in or call with limited time to obtain the info or parts they wanted. Thanks Steve when in doubt, throttle out Bill Jr. Ps. Mac users can use this "fiche" also, but it has to be opened with "zip-it", not "stuffit".

i just got a shiny new klx300, and spent most of saturday riding it and saying "wheeeeee!". So sunday, the wife goes off shopping, i punched the record button for the football game, and took the mighty klr off to do some dirt riding in our local bootleg riding area (about 20 mins away, not easily accesible for my still dirt-only klx). i certainly was riding alot friskier and more confident after a day aboard a serious trailbike. i scooted right up a steepish climb that previously had made me blanch in fear. i was so stoked i circled around and tried it again. Doh! got a little squiggly and off to the side, and had to stop. of course it's the sort of hill that's steep enough that the front brake has no effect whatsoever, but i got my foot on the rear brake before i slid too far back. i managed to back to a waterbar that i hoped would offer a little chance of getting going again, but instead i managed to tip over twice (once on each side) in my useless attempts before i finally just pushed and pulled and got pointed back down the hill and drove carefully home to hide under my blankie. part way through my foolish endeavours, i looked at the trip-meter and realized it only said 50 miles, which meant i had an almost full tank (not a good idea). to add insult to injury, while i was struggling, a kid on a kx100 came wheelie-ing up the hill and zoomed past me. turned out it was the same kid i had hassled the previous day for riding around on the private dirt road i live on (he lives nearby, but not on my road). to my credit, once i found out he wasn't the same kid that was riding around the neighborhood for several hours the previous saturday, i cut him some slack and said no one would probably mind if he went up our road once or twice every now and then, i just didn't want him doing laps there for hours on weekends when my wife is trying to relax or nap or something. mw
