i'm new, is a '93 klr for $2100 a good idea?

I am a sport bike rider, going back to my dirt roots. I thought a KLR would be a good way to do this. I found a '93 KLR used in my area for $2100 with lots of nice extra's. What do you experts know of the '93? Is this a good year to jump into the KLR world with? Any info at all appreciated. Thanks in advance, Duane Roland
