left hand casing

Post by tim.anderson@netc.pt » Tue Sep 12, 2000 5:36 pm

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to remove the whole left hand casing( both inner and outer) without removing the generator fly wheel? I have the outer case off and the inner case seems to be held up by the Idler shaft lever from the cam chain. At least thats what I think its stuck behind from looking at the parts blowup for my bike. I need to get it off to see the damage to my front balancer/water pump shaft. I'm not looking forward to seeing the damage although because I could partially see that the shaft was just dangling their so it must have snapped somewhere internally. But I need to get this dag-blast it LH case off to see. Thanks any info would be great. Timan (dead A1)

Being on the newsgroup seemed like a good idea at the time, however it is bogging down my account at work. Please remove me and I may try later when I have an account at home. Thanks, Sean Gibson
