I'm with Karl on this one. I just bought one of those small double pump pumps. Works like a charm, very light, very small. Packs easily, should be hard to cause it to fail as oppossed to a compressor, especially when doing a long trip. I think it was about $20.00, they're sold at any bicycle shop, designed for mountain bikers I believe. If you haven't checked them out you really should. -Ed
