klr tweet sound in exhaust is gone

Post by szlanyi@NOVAChem.com » Fri Sep 08, 2000 11:54 pm

Hello list! A friend of mine (MC repair specialist & KLR rider) told me how to fix the tweet sound (chirp-chirp!) from the exhaust: Remove the spark arrester by removing the two welding points on the rear end of the exhaust pipe. Use the long drift to drive the arrester in first, then take it out. That's it, it takes about 1/2 hour. His e-mail address is: ton_that_quy@... He's checking it about once a month, and he doesn't talk much. :-) He's a guy. My trip report comes soon, perhaps tomorrow, since I'm in Calgary now for a few days. Cheers, istvan+Eh13, Calgary
