spark plugs, resistor/nonresistor

is this just a case of canadians having to

Hey, hey, what's with the comments about Canadians? We don't want this to degrade into a flame throwing contest like that other thread do we? Should I put you Americans down because your Fox network thought that no one could follow a hockey puck with out it being hi-lighted? Should I put you down because one of your sacred sports (basketball) was invented by a Canadian? Should I put you down because a Canadian team held the World Series title for three seasons in a row...and no American team ever has? Should I put you down because of your "weaker beer" comment. Have you ever had Canadian beer? Should I say American beer is like drinking dirty water? No, I wouldn't do any of that. The subject is resistor vs non-resistor plugs. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe resistor plugs are used for the suppression of radio interferance (static). I don't think any one could tell the difference in performance between the two. I know I couldn't in other bikes. We can purchase non-resistor plugs in Canada, but why bother. If any one can provide a reason and evidence, than I am willing to give them a try, otherwise I'll stick to the resistor plugs as specified. As for these other products that claim to be so great, I have a hard time believing that such improvements are possible. Show me side by side comparisons which support their claims, and then I would think about them. There are hundreds if not thousands of products that have been aimed at the automotive market over the years, which make outrageous claims. They succeed in convincing thousands of people, then disappear from the market never to be heard from again. John Canuk on a KLR
