yup! at 68 degrees, 14.7 psig, regular grade gasoline (Shell Oil brand of course) 6.0185 pounds per gallon. EVERYTHING effects density and volume. Rev. A gallon of gas is"too heavy" if you have to carry it a couple of miles in motoboots (uphill, through the mud).

Jeppesen states in my "Private Pilot Manual" that a gallon of Avgas weighs 6
pounds per gallon, a gallon of oil weighs 7.5 pounds per gallon, a gallon of
water weighs 8 pounds. The Bosch Automotive Handbook states that gasoline
has a density of 0.72..0.75, Benzene (C6H6) 0.88, and Diesel fuel a density
of 0.81...0.85, and Kerosene 0.76...0.86.
