Attachments :I have been using these with the motocross sole for a while, and I think they are great! I would like to try the AT sole, but the dealer did not carry them. I could have ordered them, but I like to try them on, ya know? Down here in Florida it's a lot of sand (not just on the beach!), so some extra grip would be nice. Anyway, two thumbs up! haha. i'm glad someone else does it. i put every sticker i get somewhere on my bike or givi bags. it's pretty ugly, but certainly not any uglier than it was on the showroom floor. i figure i'll get extra points at moab next year for still having my '00 moab rally sticker. for boot, i got some thor mx boots (conveniently, the only ones i tried on that fit my feet well at all) that were only around $120. they were stiff for the first ride or two, but broke in right away. they're just basic black, so they don't look too stupid on the road, and they're fine for walking around in. don't know that i'd want to hike for hours in them, but if i watch where i steer and keep up on my maintenenance, hopefully i won't have too. -mark weaver

when i stopped by my local reputable shop to order a jet kit and ids2 muffler, i also poked around in their handlebars. i've been thinking about getting different bars, since the klr bars seem kind of high (i'm used to mtn bike bars that are nice and low), and also the grips end up kind of far back, so i end up sitting about in the middle of the seat. that's no problem riding alone, but it annoys my wife when i ride with her, and if i scoot forward, my arms get all squished up, and i sit too upright and there's too much weight on my tailbone, and, and, and...... so i got some bars. they are about 1 1/2" or so shorter and forwarder, and ever so slightly narrower. so far i like them a lot. i now sit a little more forward on the seat, my arms have a slight and comfortable bend in them, and i lean forward ever so slightly. it just feels more natural in every way. i had to get a little creative in routing the clutch cable because that stupid metal sleeve at the lever was trying to send the cable off in an impossible direction, but i rotated it to point forward and squeezed the cable out to the side of the instrument panel. i also have a little more SS brake line floating around now. i also find that the throttle cables bump the windshield at full steering lock, but they did that before too, just not as much. i'm going to rotate the bars back a couple degrees tonight, which will also let me raise the rally pro handguards slightly and may reduce the throttle cable/windshield interference. i never lock the wheel anyway because i live in a quiet neighborhood. i don't even take the keys out of the ignition unless i'm gone for the weekend. anyway, just thought i'd share my experiences in case anyone else was thinking the same thing. -mark weaver
