comment on tires

To those of you seeking replacement tires, I took Karl Raupp's advice recently and replaced my rear tire with a TKC-80.  It took some doing to change, but I was successful.  The tire is a little wider--which I like--than the stock Dunlop K750 and has a very nice tread pattern.  When the time comes, I plan on replacing my front tire with a TKC-80 too.  On a recent trip to the U.P. of Michigan, I was impressed with the performance in the sand and dirt.  If you buy one and plan on changing it yourself, contact me first and I'll share my advice on changing that sucker.   Chaulk up another vote for the TKC-80.   As for the KLR being a good babe magnet, nothing compares to Maya, my 18-month old Golden Retriever.  When she's riding with me in the cage and we stop at the gas station or the 7-Eleven, women cannot resist commenting about her.  "Oh what a cute dog you have", or "aw... I wan't a dog like that".  Now if I can just figure out how to get the dog to ride on the back of the KLR.   Bruce Bordt Milford, MI
