[dsn_klr650] center stand use

Post by Jim Jackson » Fri Aug 11, 2000 12:00 pm

Ya know, I've wanted a center stand so I could be like youse guys for a while. Now I've got it and mounted it up and, as a good friend in the Corps used to say: It's just Kickin' that ass ain't it? I can get it on the stand if I lean the bike WAY over onto the side stand and prop it up but I can't seem to get the leverage to back it onto the stand... What am I doing wrong? It won't help me in the wilds if I can't use the darn thing. On another note, I am trying to figure out how to justify trading in the KLR for a private jet. Took one to St. Louis and back last Wednesday on business and I must say it's almost as much fun as riding even before you throw in the wet bar... Hmmmmmmm KLR = 4,500 + toys. Lear Jet = 9,000,000 + maintenance and pilot... If I also sold the '83 XR 350... Thanks, Jim Jackson II A13 with centerstand in the garage and bike on kickstand... great ride in georgia

Here's a ride that's perfect for riders of KLR's, XRL's, DR 7 DRZ, KTM's, XT's, etc. It's on virgin land, a 14,000 acre pine plantation with various degrees of challenges. If you live in the south east you owe it to yourself to get in on this ride...... http://www.geocities.com/mrktm/amsterdam.html Swampy
