[dsn_klr650] first-time valve check question and a few observat
Charles,
Ya done good getting the KLR. With regards to your 'complaints'...
remember... you paid LESS than most bikes for what you got... if all you can
say bad about your KLR are cosmetics... then ME thinks your mission WAS
successful!!!!!
Peace and Happy Thumping,

[dsn_klr650] first-time valve check question and a few observat
O.J.,
Oh, I agree that these are mere cosmetics. And every day I am thankful that
I bought this beauty. And what a bargain, especially compared to the R1150GS
that I was dreaming about! Yow $15K instead of $5k!
Does anyone have an opinion on the first half on my posting regarding my
valve adjustment?
thanks in advance.
Charles

right hand falling asleep
I wear some deerskin gloves I picked up at Home Depot. I find my KLR smooth as well. Mirrors as a rule are good. I use Conti TKC-80's front and back now (my new standard setup), very smooth for such an aggressive tire. On Saturday I did a 1000km run with no monkey-butt or monkey-hands to speak of. I was going to do my Saddlesore 1000 today but I slept in way to late to be able to make it home in a decent time for work tomorrow. I find the KLR a comfy highway mount. Back at the end of June I did 5400 kms in 4 days and my tush was mighty sore, but my hands were fine. Everyone's different I guess.
