Sounds like a bondage magazine title, doesn't it? Or maybe a prison weekly? Well, I would like to know what mileage some of youse guys are getting out o' them chains o your'n (not chains of urine - a phonetic slip). The original, I mean. I've got 16,000 reasonably hard miles on mine, and I'm heading off the 5th of August to Idaho to ride around there again like I did last summer (Nez Perce Ride) and it seems just fine. Maybe Conall has some long mileage on his? Or you udder guys? (no, not the moose, the Udder Guys). Some of you are "udder guys", right? Any way, mine doesn't show any slop when pulled from the rear sprocket, like Mr. T. says to do, and others, and it has all its O- rings and links and everything. Wow , single track trails and sand. I regular run about 65 miles north of home and ride the OHV trails on and old Army base which are used for a Nat'l Enduro every few years. Not as easy as my old DR350 but doable. Main feats there are mud and sand at places. But not bad. Don't wanna lose it thought or you can eat a tree as these trail are in a Nat'l Forest. Sand hmmmmmm. I try not to but I like to roam a beach route once in awhile and have to cross from the shoreline ( hard sand) to the beach road ( not to hard sand) and there is generally really soft sand between. Just get on the pegs with weight to the rear and on the gas. Have to admit that the Avon gripster I have on the rear now does a sloppy job of it. The OEM did better. But, then, years ago I use to run a '72 750 Honda thru this same beach run without falling too much. . Wish some of the guys who are replying would cut out all but the basics on what they are replying about to save space. Or, even copy and paste to a new message. See where one dude replied to a whole digest.
