[dsn_klr650] big gun and / or others

Post by Arne » Wed Jul 26, 2000 6:17 pm

From: ron criswell [mailto:ron.criswell@...] Subject: [DSN_klr650] Big Gun and / or others I think I finally am going to rid myself of Tweety. Leaning toward The Big Gun but will consider all. Laser Pro, Super Trapp, Cobra etc. I guess I'll have to do the K&N filter and Dynajet thing too. Dang, we are starting to talk real money. Just when I think my chain is about over with also (17,000 miles). Any comments out there KLRistas? I'm tempted to go with a non master linked chain like the original since I have had such good luck with it but I'll have to tear the suspension apart (again) to put it on. Ron Criswell __________________________ I like my Big Gun. It's a quality piece of equipment. BUT, having said that - if I were to do it over again, I would SERIOUSLY look at the Laser Pro Dura set-up that Gino has. I believe it's a little quieter and it's totally mechanical... no packing. I don't think it comes with a new head-pipe though... with which Big Gun does. I believe that this accounts for a fair amount of throttle response improvement. Arne - happy hunting.
