Fuel economy was excellent. Good enough that I really didn't keep close track, though the one time I did I got close to 50 mpg. I was riding with a guy on a CBR 600 which meant that I just topped off the tank when he would fill up. More a need for some cold water to add to the Platy drinking system. (I didn't mention it before, but I really like it. I have the 35 ounce one, and it fits great in the big pocket of the Darien jacket.)

I have the Kawi tall windshield. Keep in mind that many people find them unbearable. It just depends on what you like and where your head hits the windstream. But they aren't particularly expensive, so it isn't a high risk item. Ralph Ralph E. Hanson 99 KRL 650 http://www.wvu.edu/~journal2
