gps - egtrex?

Post by Karl Raupp » Sun Jul 23, 2000 11:14 pm

I'm looking at getting a GPS and the one that has caught my eye is the Garmin eTrex. Anyone else on the list using one? I like the fact that it is pretty small and light. Seems to have every popular feature except a 'map' display. Any other recommendations on a decent GPS in the same-ish price range (bout $200 CDN or so)? http://www.garmin.com/products/etrex/spec.html Karl ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com

Defintely a blast these d/s events. Often there are two courses that share some sections and the A sections have more difficult for the 'hardcore' riders... like the dirt bikes that are dual sported rather than factory d/s bikes, BUT some get the large d/s thru these sections too!. I was at the Black Dog event at MT Hood OR a few weeks ago. I saw one KLR, two DR650 and several 350's, the yamaha TT-250 etc. I was riding my KLX 650 R that is dual sported and did some of the A loop (more difficult) till I was tired of all the damned rocks and swithched to the B loop in the afternoon. This was a two day event with 140/170 miles each day. Dan Paulsen Graham, WA
