Brad, on my A12 I did perform the proceedure,never did see any carbon
come out, even when tapping with rubber mallet.The chirping arrived
at
around 9000km.I've drilled 4 holes in the muffler butt plate, still
chirps. Looking at aftermarket choices.....cosmo
