I respectfully must disagree with this statement. As the MSF teaches,
motorcycle riders are more vulnerable and less stable than they are
in cars, period.
There are instances where being on an MC can be advantageous, but the
increased speed, acceleration, maneuverability, etc. just don't
compensate for the fact that your ass is hanging out there in the
environment. Two things are fact: 1) on a percentage basis no more
MCs wreck than cars 2) Of the wrecks that do occur a much higher
percent of the motorcycle wrecks are fatal.
There are just too many situations where a MC is much more at risk.
Gravel in a curve. Ice. Oil. I could go on and on. Luckily fo the
list, I won't.
