Not a good idea. While the radiator overflow tank vent is for overpressure venting, the gas tank vent is constantly drawing air in as the gas level drops. If the gas tank wasn't vented, then gas wouldn't be able to flow out, right? Just like putting your finger on the end of a straw. That overflow must be routed all the way back like that, because if it ever vented anti-freeze you definitely don't want it hitting your tires, as it would be really slick and unsafe. So, yeah, you could T-into this hose, but no, you couldn't add a check valve. Also, you'd have to be concerned that the air coming into the hose, and thus into the bike, is in a clean and dry location, and if the overflow ever vented, you would draw anti-freeze into the gas tank vent system. (Which runs through a labyrinth in the gas cap by the way.) Jeff> I had my tank off the other day and found a hose running down the > frame that I hadn't traced yet... When I bought my wife's Honda FT500 (used), it came with a headlight
modulator. To be honest, I wasn't impressed. May have been a poor quality
one. But the on/off switch didn't work well either. (Can't have it modulating
at night) Newer models may work better. I just thought a strobe would be more
effective because of the way it catches the human eye. Think I'll look around
and see if I can't find something.
