Thought I would share this one, in case anyone tried to duplicate it. I
purchased a set of the Acerbis Rally Dual Sport Hand Guards, the ones with
the blinkers in them. Well, I still use my stock blinkers, so I thought it
would be cool to have a pair of low wattage running lamps. So, I connected
them to the low wattage leads that are open beneath the head lamp. Ooops,
don't do it. It did look cool for about a week, but when I had a small
argument with a healthy tree branch, I busted a bulb. Well, when I went in to
change it, no way Jose. It seems the heat of the lamp/bulb melted the plastic
that the rubber/plastic bulb holder is made of. No way was that bulb coming
out. So I ended up undoing my "cool" modification and now I have two holes
where my lamps used to be. So, they might be able to handle a turn signal,
but they sure can't handle as a running lamp.
