crossing borders and the dreaded nklr

Post by daddyoct@aol.com » Fri Jun 16, 2000 9:57 pm

From the intro to the new KLR Adventure Touring group, "This group is not intended beginners who run to the dealer any time they hear a new noise in the engine, nor is it intended for those who have never ridden their KLR farther than the local trails take them. The topics of discussion on this group aren't about the poor service at your local dealer, or how to change a spark plug, or to complain about your bikes colour. Nor is it here to discuss the dreaded 'NKLR' issues that tend to dominate other such groups. We do however discuss ... political issues related to crossing borders.........." Always best to say what you like, what you want more of, rather than slam the other fellow's pleasures. Sure way to accumulate bad karma. Political issues related to crossing borders? Want to travel easy in this world? Try to avoid crossing the boundaries of good taste while respecting the other man's culture. Bill. (still KLR-less but hopefully not clueless)
