I have used Nikon since I was in High School 15 years ago. I now own a Nikon N50 and N60. They are both outstanding cameras I wouldn't own anything else. The Canon comes with a Canon 28 - 80 mm f/3.5-5.6 zoom lens, and the Minolta comes with a similar lens made by Sigma. I like all the features that the Minolta has, but the Canon has a DOF preview feature. Please email me off list if you can help me make up my mind.
