yeehah! finally got me a klr!

Listers- Big weekend for me... Finally picked up my KLR. I purchased a used 1991 KLR650 with 7000mi, moose bash plate, progressive front springs, maier handguards, Avon AM-24 Gripsters, Russell SS front brake line, Dynojet kit (St.1, I think), Cobra exhaust, Acerbis low front fender, Russell speed bleeders (fr + bk), kawi tank bag, sharp soft saddle bags, chase harper soft tail case and probably some other things I can't remember for less than $2k.... Took a short drive home from Rockville, MD to SE DC and began to see the truth in loud pipes saving lies, though I am not sure how loud the cobra truly is! 1) My first question is the bike did not come with the toolkit. So I would like to put together a really nice kit that will put the stocker to shame. What all do you recommend carrying? I would be interested in hearing about what tools you find most useful, and what tools (brand, style of wrench, length, etc) you all recommend. 2) My bike didn't come with the owners manual either... So can I write to Kawasaki and get them to send me one? Or is the OM totally useless and the service manual/Clymers is a better replacement. Ideally I would like to have the stock OM, and then what ever the list recommends for professional manuals... Whether that be Clymer or the Kawi or both, I would love to know about your experiences with both. 3) My brother is giving me his 50L Givi topcase (forgot the model number, e50 perhaps) and I had heard that there was a special non-givi custom bracket for it availible through Fred that mounted far enough back to provide room for a passenger. What is the skinny on the mounting bracket? Is the GIVI KLR bracket or good, or is the "other" better? I know that someone asked about this a few weeks ago, but it wasn't made clear in that conversation. I am sure that I will discover more as learn the bike, but I can't wait for next weekend! Thanks for all the advice, and all the future help... Zack 1991 KLR650 1981 KZ440
