I drilled two holes in mine. I wasn't tweeting before or after. It also made no difference to the sound of mine. At first I thought it let it rev out better but now I think that was just my right wrist, not the drilled muffler. You have nothing really to loose by drilling it and trying. If you don't like it, all you need to do is weld some nuts over the holes and bolt bolts to them.
