I use closed-cell cylindrical earplugs(not preformed). Recently I washed a load of M.C. gear and after drying , out popped a pair of perfectly cleaned ear plugs that I had placed in my pocket loaded with ear wax and road grime. One of life's little pleasures. It never occurred to me to wash them for re-use! Protect the environment....Recycle! This particular package of 6 pairs cost $4.25 from a market in Empire, Nv.
