I think I can clarify this. Aerostich does not recommend Darien Light for motorcycle use. It's not as safe as the regular Darien. Andy G. wears a Darien Light around town (Duluth, MN) with an open face helmet and blue jeans on hot days. His personal choice, not a company recommendation. It's all about risk management. And any gear is better than no gear. Ralph who is trying to convince himself to wear the Darien pants all the time now instead of just when he heads out on high speed roads. Ralph E.
